Product Studio Map
When I tell people I run a product studio, the question inevitably comes up: "What does a product studio do?"
Product studios in Amsterdam
I want to build a map of product development studio's. That shows all companies that work on product development, in the same way as Airbnb shows the available houses. One the right side a map, and on the left side an index of the houses that are within the frame of the map (see attached image). When you move around with the map, the index of the product studios change with regards to the location of the product studio on the map. The Thumbnails with the Product studio's on the right show a small image of the product studio, a title with the name, the year it is founded, the reviews (from google maps), the number of employees. Populate the map with 10 fake companies to demonstrate it works.
We track public data to keep this list fresh. Every studio here:
- Has been around for 3+ years
- Runs between 10 and 100 FTE
- Builds real products, in-house
The studio’s on the list meet three core criteria:
- Clean, user-focused design
- Enterprise-level engineering
- Full-spectrum product development under one roof
